When Paul came back to New Zealand in 2021, there was a huge problem - and it wasn't the global pandemic.
He couldn't find clotted cream ... anywhere.
After 20 years in the UK, where clotted cream could be purchased at pretty much any supermarket, anywhere, this was a dire situation.
So, he set out to figure out how to make it himself.
It took a while, many iterations, many failures, and reams of paperwork (NZ rightly protects its dairy industry really carefully) but eventually, the sought-after secret that is 'It's Cream Bro' clotted cream was perfected and now New Zealand has its first clotted cream supplier
So, why "It's Cream Bro"?
Paul found that many Kiwis, as worldly as they are, hadn't heard of clotted cream. As he was trying to explain the delights of this beautiful product, people kept asking, "Yeah, but what actually is it?"
At band practice one night, the question was asked once too often and a more enlightened band member, in frustration, yelled..."It's cream Bro".
And so, a legend was born
